Hamster Colors in Solo Match

In Solo Match, every hamster on a stage gets its own body color so you can tell players apart at a glance. This page explains how colors are assigned and lists all 24 colors in use.

How colors are assigned

When you join a stage you receive the lowest free player number (1–24) on that stage, and your color is derived from that number. It has nothing to do with your nickname or rank, so your color can change each time you play.
To keep neighboring numbers from looking alike, hues are spread by the golden angle (137°). Any two of the 24 hamsters on a stage are easy to tell apart.
Lightness cycles through three levels, standard, slightly light and light, by number. Only bright colors are used so nothing sinks into the dark background.
One in five hamsters (numbers divisible by 5) is achromatic: white, light gray or gray.
Team Battle does not use this list. Players wear their team color instead: Blue, Red, Green or Yellow. See Solo Match vs. Team Battle.

Your turf and trail are painted in the same color, so you can find your position and standing on the minimap and the bar on the left by looking for your color.

"Default name" is the name you get if you play without entering a nickname. It is also derived from the player number.

Common questions

Can I choose my color? No. It is assigned automatically from your player number.
Can two players have the same color? Not on the same stage: different numbers mean different colors.
Does my color change as I rank up? No. Rank is shown by the pattern on the back, not the body color.
