Lifetime Kills and Seeds Collected
Alongside lifetime score and rank, two more records are kept: ⚔️ lifetime kills and 🌻 seeds collected. Both appear on the home screen and the round-over screen. Neither affects your rank. They are keepsake numbers that show how you play. They are, however, selectable metrics on the leaderboards, so you can aim for the top in kills or seeds instead of score.
⚔️ Lifetime kills
The total number of opponents you have taken down.
- Each kill is added the moment it happens. It is never taken back, even if you are eliminated later in the same round.
- In Team Battle, only opponents you took down yourself count. Teammates' kills are not included.
- A kill means stepping on an opponent's trail. Wiping out an opponent's turf by enclosing it is not a kill, because you did not take the player down.
To raise your kill count you have to catch opponents while they are outside their turf drawing a trail. See "Taking opponents down" in the Beginner Strategy Guide.
🌻 Seeds collected
When you survive to the end of a round, the number of sunflower seeds you hold at that moment is added.
- The timing is the same as lifetime score, so eliminated rounds add nothing. Holding a seed partway through a round does not count if you have lost it by the end.
- In Solo Match it is the seeds inside your turf.
- In Team Battle it is the team's seed count divided by the number of members: 12 seeds shared by 4 players is 3.0, and 5 seeds shared by 3 players is 1.7 (recorded in steps of 0.1).
The three records side by side
| Record | When it is added | Eliminated round | Affects rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lifetime score | End of round (share) | Nothing added | Yes (R = √score) |
| ⚔️ Lifetime kills | The moment of the kill | Earlier kills stay | No |
| 🌻 Seeds collected | End of round (seeds held) | Nothing added | No |
Where they are shown
- Home screen: your current rank, lifetime score, kills and seeds collected appear near the nickname field.
- Round-over screen: shown together with what you gained in that round.
- Leaderboards: switch the metric between score, kills and seeds to see the top 100.
Where the records are stored
These records are saved automatically on the server, tied to the transfer code issued the first time you play. Before switching phones or browsers, use Saving and Transferring Your Data on the home page to email yourself a transfer URL.
