Solo Match vs. Team Battle

HammyTurf has two modes: Solo Match and Team Battle. Pick one with the "Game Mode" toggle on the home screen before you play. Each mode runs on its own stages, so Solo players and Team Battle players never meet on the same board.

Solo Match

A free-for-all survival battle. As in the basic rules, step on an opponent's trail and their whole turf is yours. Get taken down and all of your turf goes to them.

Team Battle

A four-team showdown: Blue, Red, Green and Yellow. When you join you are placed automatically on the team with the fewest players. You cannot choose your team.

Turf is shared

Any teammate's turf counts as your own. Leave from a teammate's turf, return to a teammate's turf, and the enclosure is complete. The captured area becomes team turf. Since you never have to get back to your own starting patch, big loops are easier to pull off than in Solo.

Teammates' trails are safe

Takedowns only happen between opposing teams. Stepping on a teammate's trail, or having a teammate step on yours, does nothing. You can move freely through crowded areas without worrying about your own team.

Being taken down does not cost the team its turf

When you are taken down you only lose yourself. The team's turf stays. However, if a team's turf disappears completely, the whole team is eliminated. When your team's turf is shrinking, playing defensively is sometimes the right call.

How scores and records are split

Which mode should I pick?

Lifetime score is a single number shared by both modes. Whichever you play, the same rank grows.
